As Fayemi Won Ekiti Governorship Election, Should The People Of Ekiti Rejoice Or Cry?



The much anticipated Ekiti Governorship election has come and gone. An electoral exercise that left the Ekiti people to decide who to paddle the canoe of the state for the next four years.
Meanwhile, among all candidates for the Ekiti Guber race, ex-deputy to sitting Governor, Kolapo Olusola of PDP and APC candidate, Kayode Fayemi were both favorites to win.
In what looked like a tight result, APC candidate, Kayode Fayemi won with 197,459 votes as against PDP candidate, Kolapo Olusola who was able to gather 178,114 votes.
Considering what was obtainable during the reign of People’s Democratic Party in Ekiti State under Governor, Ayodele Fayose and with the emergence of Kayode Fayemi, what will be the fate of Ekiti people in another four years?
